Today we met up with our collaborators (Nusheen and Olivia) at lunch for a quick chat about the publication that we are going to make. We showed them the general overview of the contents and designs that we wanted the publications to look like. In addition, we also also made them aware that this is part of our module therefore we will have a tight schedule in creating the publication, which thankfully they understood and were happy to accomodate. Likewise, we also made them aware that if anything would not work with them, especially time wise, they can absolutely tell us in order for us to work properly as a team.
Me and Jocel also showed them the Pinterest boards that we made and told them that we would like to work with one of them individually as we are making two publications. Looking at the work that the illustration students gave us we though that Nusheen and Jocel and Me and Olivia would work. We also worked out that maybe we would have to meet up as individual teams and as a whole in order to make sure that the publications are up to speed and are both cohesive. As we don't actually have the content for the publications yet, we decided to meet up next week Wednesday afternoon, as all of us would be free by then (me, Jocel and Nusheen have Employability week schedules and Olivia has just started a new module). We decided that me and Jocel will create the content that will be used in the publication while our collaborators can start creating visual content for the publication, also keeping in contact with each other in order to receive and give suggestions and opinions on each others work.
Overall, we thought it was a good first meet up with both of them and we have given them a good overview of our brief as well as giving them freedom to do what they want and give suggestions back and forth in order for this to be a successful collaborative brief.
