• Trip for December to Amsterdam - 150 deposit (by 26th Dec) and 348 (by 17th Dec).

• 504 Design production (30 credits) hand in 7th dec between 1:30 - 3:00
• design for print - 8th Oct - Dec
• design for screen - 

SB1 Design for print - 8th Oct to 7th of Dec

• Will need to write the brief for the proposed publication (template will be given)
• The publication and context and content of the publication WILL BE UP TO ME (WHAT ELSE CAN IT BE ABOUT?) e.g. if about airline it can be movement, distance and passengers etc.
• concept can be about process, method area of focus about the brief etc.
• SLANTED MAGAZINE - magazine about cities * worth to look at!
• explore the processes and techniques involved...think about the connection between the concept with the materials, method, production how the book is bound together 

• NOT JUST ONE IDEA - try different ideas of production, method of process etc. 
• LOADS OF ALTERATIONS OF THE IDEAS
• understanding the issues about design production e.g cost, materials, commercially (how can the process can be done in commercial industry --> how it can be expanded) 

• selecting and manipulating appropriate media 
• reflection and documentation (show the progress on how you've been doing and making your work better until the final production).
• TRY MAKING MOCK UPS ALL THE TIME - little swatches of experiment etc., make people try out the book (friends, target audience)

DELIVERABLES

• STUDIO PRACTICE BLOG - OUGD504
• DESIGN BOARDS (6X , RATIONALE, RESEARCH, INITIAL IDEAS, DESIGN DEVELOPMENTS, FINAL PRODUCTION, EVALUATION)
• FINISHED OUTCOMES - Finished publication (as this is a module that focuses on production, digital mock-ups should be avoided). 
• Written summarative evaluation (500 summary) - 

THIS WEEK 

• Develop concept/rationale for the publication.
• You have research into type and context, what else is needed to fulfil your set brief?
• Think about additional content you may need to gather. (placeholder content etc.)

FRIDAY

• Completed brief sheet and additional content/researched gathered.
