In order for me to properly concentrate of gathering content for my publication I wanted to be really specific about what my book is going to be about because I don't really want to be keep going back to it and alter any changes on it because that will affect how everything about my publication will look and be made. Also, because my brief is going be the basis on how effective my publication is I want to be as clear as possible about it.
WHAT IS THE BOOK COMMUNICATING & WHO TO?
The publication that I am going to be creating is aiming to communicate how the different usage of phrases or words work or have an effect on how viewers act/think or respond, aiming to be specified for an audience demographic that is interested in psychology or designers who like artistic humorous content.
WHAT'S THE MESSAGE?
The message that I want to convey in my publication is that I want the viewers of the book to think about how they approach the messages/signs in the book just like how they would approach and think about a signage. Do they do it intentionally? Do they laugh when they see it? Do they unconsciously do it? Would they realise that they are doing this intentionally or subconsciously?
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
The message that I want to show is important because the viewers may start questioning their way of receiving the messages that they get through signage? Why do they react different to stereotypical/ normal messages/signs (e.g. 'Don't step on the grass') than funny/clever ones. Would they react to it differently when it becomes too normal or seen everyday? Would it then become the new normal and have no effect and therefore they may less likely respond to it?
